Golden Palace Casino's Wacky Publicity Stunts

The online casino Golden Palace is well known for its flamboyant acquisitions at online auction sites. The online casino has used sites like eBay to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars for multiple charity organizations including Shoot for a Cure, The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, and Multiple Sclerosis.

One of the most curious purchases came in the form of a breast implant. The strange tale began with a People's Court case involving a stripper by the name of Tawny Peaks, who was sued by a man for possible whiplash injuries sustained by her 69-HH sized breasts. The case was presided over by former New York mayor Ed Koch who dismissed the case on the grounds that the breasts in question were too soft to cause serious harm.

Ms. Peaks later had the implants removed and then determined there might be a profit to be made by auctioning the pair on eBay. Due to the television notoriety involved, the implants garnered 100 bids and Golden Palace acquired both the implants and a copy of the court complaint.

The online casino's eBay antics aren't limited to prosthetics. Golden Palace has gone on to purchase a haunted walking stick, a grilled cheese sandwich resembling the Virgin Mary, and the right to name an undiscovered Bolivian monkey. The honor of bestowing a name on the new monkey species cost the online casino $650,000 which was donated to FUNDESNAP, the Bolivian organization that manages Madidi National Park where the new species was discovered. The donation will be used to help protect the rainforest habitat of the new species.
